Developed by a paediatric occupational therapist to simplify the complicated process of understanding and supporting sensory needs in children and adults.
Beneficial for use with children on the Austism Spectrum in particular- who often experience a number of challenges due to their higher sensory needs. Also relevant for use with any child or adult who may be showing signs of being under-stimulated or over-stimulated in certain situations.
The flip-book style and colour-coded system enables quick and easy profiling; a different approach to most other reference-based resources.
Summary forms allow the user to record the sensory needs of the individual being considered, and use the ideas in the book to begin the process of applying the most appropriate strategies to support regulation.
