Writing Slant Boards

Sensory Tools pairs hands-on training with tools for Autism, ADHD, ADD, and other developmental differences. Our Writing Slant Boards match what you learn in our courses: bring the page up, set posture, and keep handwriting steady. The 36 × 38 cm perspex surface travels well, and you keep pages secure with the large clip and rubber stoppers.

How does a slant board help your writing?
Lift the page into your line of sight so wrists and fingers line up for cleaner letters. Tinted perspex cuts glare, which eases eye strain and helps you stay with the task. Clip a worksheet or a chapter from
learning books and keep forearms supported while you write.

How do you use a slant board properly?
Sit with your feet flat and hips back. Set the board at a gentle angle, so the page meets your eyes. Rest your forearms on the table, hold the pencil near the tip and add a
pencil grip to guide finger placement. Work in short blocks by setting 3–5 minutes on a visual timer and then pause, shake out your hands, and name one thing that improved.
